DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (March 1, 2023) – JMC Motorsports is thrilled to announce it has signed Jarod Vanderkooi to compete for the Mission SuperTwins presented by S&S Cycle championship aboard Indian FTR750s for the 2023 Progressive American Flat Track season.

JMC Motorsports represents a return to the role of team owner for Jay Maloney, a former top-level competitor himself who served as Vanderkooi’s crew chief for the past two seasons with the Mission Roof Systems outfit.

During that span, the pairing enjoyed a remarkably successful run together – including nine podiums and eight top-two finishes – that ultimately culminated in Vanderkooi claiming his maiden premier-class victory and being named the Progressive Triple Crown winner during the ‘22 season finale weekend.

Together they aim to build on that success in 2023, and while branching off under the JMC Motorsports banner, they will continue to be supported by Jerry Stinchfield and Roof Systems of Dallas, Texas, along with the engine building of Ben Evans.

JMC Motorsports is also proud to announce that Fairway Ford of Canfield, Ohio, has signed on as the team’s title sponsor.

“Trusting the guy working on your motorcycle is huge,” said Vanderkooi. “Having that guy be someone like Jay – who has raced at the competitive level and has an understanding of how things on track feel – has allowed us to develop a great dynamic that I’m excited to build on. Throughout my pro career I have never had the opportunity to be the main rider. Going into the season knowing that everyone in my pit area is rooting for me to be the guy brings me so much confidence. The goal every weekend is to be on the top step of the podium. The way we finished last season just shows we’re capable. I think I’ve always kind of been considered the underdog, but I’ve been training harder than ever this off season and I’m ready to come out swinging in Daytona.”

Maloney said, “I fully believe in this team and have confidence in our rider to be on the box every weekend. Jarod Vanderkooi is a very versatile rider in all forms of flat track racing. Our goal each and every race is to put us in a position to be a top contender for the Mission SuperTwins championship. Being the team owner is not new to me as I previously ran my own program and fielded multiple Parts Unlimited AFT Singles riders. While we are new to having this caliber of a rider, behind the scenes our program is very similar to what we previously had a lot of success with. I’m also excited to welcome Bob and Robbie Davis and the whole Fairway Ford team onboard the effort. We’re going to have a lot of fun together this season. We look forward to seeing everyone at the track and greatly appreciate all the continued support.”

Bob Davis said, “We watched Jarod grow up racing at Western Reserve Motorcycle Club in Salem, Ohio. In Jarod’s younger years, we were involved with him and his family as an amateur sponsor. Fairway Ford looks forward to being a dealership of choice for Progressive AFT fans. We are a large volume Ford dealer and our goal is to have the best prices of any dealer in the country and we will deliver right to your door.”

In addition to Fairway Ford, Roof Systems, Ben Evans Racing, and Indian Motorcycles, JMC Motorsports will have new and continued support from a range of other companies, including Rekluse Clutches, Parts Unlimited, 4SR, Liqui Moly, Avila Racing, Level 10 Transmissions, Goon Glass, Motion Pro, Vortex, Tinks Customs, All Phase Masonry & Chimney, and Full Spectrum.
